ALLEGIANCE: Our Heroes Not Forgotten

In Progress...

A project of time. Honoring our soldiers killed abroad during WWI & WWII. Out of site, out of mind. Soldiers died, left behind for others to care for...

This project is about American long lost soldiers that fought during WWI & WWII. An in-depth look at them and how they fought and died abroad and how their stories will live on from generation to generations through their adopted families.

More to come as things unravel as I delve into our history again but in a new way...

AEROTECH NEWS 2017 INTERVIEW

Bob Alvis welcomes Jodi Champagne to this edition of AV Veterans Talk, sponsored by Aerotech News and Review. In this segment, Jodi discusses the commitment European citizens make when they adopt the grave of a U.S. soldier. It goes beyond just visiting and maintaining the gravesite, carrying over into meaningful observance of our military holidays, including Memorial Day and Veterans Day. One of Jodi’s goals is to use her book projects as a springboard to create interest in programs here at home that will inspire more public recognition of the sacrifices our military personnel make in service to our country. As part of her personal commitment to veterans appreciation, Jodi has adopted two WWI veterans – one a nurse, the other a veterinarian – and been in touch with their families. Bob also shares a couple of cool items Jodi brought back from Europe for him.

Jodi Champagne is a photographer, author and documentarian. Among her more notable projects is the interactive documentary book series, Diminishing Generations. Utilizing Augmented Reality technology, an app system that interacts with the material published in the books to allow access to digital content such as videos and photo galleries, Diminishing Generations brings the stories of WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans to vivid life. For more information on Jodi’s work, including her latest project, Allegiance: Our Heroes Not Forgotten, visit her website www.jodichampagne.com.
